‘Keep your big mouth shut’: Choppy’s advice to Gamble after parting shot
Tyson Gamble would be advised to stay quiet on the club’s coaching dynamics, league legend Chris ‘Choppy’ Close says.
Speaking on the Marshie’s Corner podcast, the halfback claimed the playing group turns to Adam Reynolds for mentoring over coach Kevin Walters.
“Kev’s the coach but Reyno is the go-to man for everybody,” he said. “If you’ve got a question about the team or footy, you go to him.
“It’s not a knock on Kev but Reyno has been around for so long.
“Kevvie really understands footy and he’s a good bloke in getting the team up and about but the modern day is so different to the way Kevvie played footy.”

Gamble will depart Brisbane at the end of the season, which could be as soon as this weekend, after signing a two-year deal with Newcastle.
“It’s very easy to throw that criticism toward people when he’s walking out the door,” Choppy told Laurel, Gary & Mark.
“Young Tyson, really, he’s too young to be having any opinion on how it all works.
“Keep your big mouth shut, Tyso.”
