Broncos Coach Kevin Walters has praised the defence of star recruit Reece Walsh after the club’s Battle for Brisbane win over The Dolphins at Suncorp Stadium last night.

Walsh who returned to the Broncos this season, following a stint with the Warriors, has been outstanding both in attack and defence for the club in 2023.

Walters told The Continuous Call Team the young star has come a long way.

“He’s doing a great job for us,” Walters said.

“I think some of his defence last night was really good for us.

“One particular tackle on Tesi Niu saved a try, which he wouldn’t have made that tackle three months ago.”

The Broncos have now won their opening four games for the first time since 2003.
