Political spectators are tipping a former Labor minister is ‘one to watch’ after a surprise appearance at an LNP event.

Long-serving Labor minister Jo-Ann Miller resigned during the 2020 election but it appears her time in politics may not be over.

“She was disgruntled with the Labor Party,” senior Nine News reporter Tim Arvier told Neil Breen.

“She was disgruntled with all the way things went down with Paul Pisasale in Ipswich and I’d watch for her to come back as an independent.”

Arvier said Ms Miller is currently campaigning to shut down smells from rubbish dumps in Ipswich.

“She’s not afraid to speak her mind and we heard it yesterday when she talked about the Coaldrake review.”
