Lee Hagipantelis: Everyone is accountable after Tigers sack Michael Maguire
Wests Tigers Chairman Lee Hagipantelis says everyone is accountable for the club’s recent lack of success, after head coach Michael Maguire was sacked earlier this week.
Maguire’s contract was terminated on Tuesday after three and a half years as head coach, with a 36 percent win record.
Hagipantelis told The Continuous Call Team everyone must take responsibility.
“We are all accountable for what we do,” Hagipantelis said.
“I am the Chair of the Board so I’m accountable in that role.
“Justin (Pascoe) is the CEO of the organisation so he is accountable in his role as the CEO.
“As is Tim Sheens – The Director of Football is accountable for that and as was Michael Maguire as head coach.
“I understand the perception and concerns of the fans, it’s been 10 years in the wilderness without enjoying any finals appearances.”
Brett Kimmorley has been named as interim head coach for the remainder of the season.
