The rumour mill is in overdrive in AFL circles over the possibility Lance Franklin could end up at the Brisbane Lions next year.

Nine News understands the Lions could be an option for the veteran forward for 2023, who is off contract at the Swans at the end of this season.

Brisbane captain Dayne Zorko told Laurel, Gary & Mark while it’s still just a rumour, Buddy’s presence on the team would be “very exciting”.

Dayne Zorko: “But yeah, he might be able to squeeze into the back row, maybe somewhere.”

Laurel Edwards: “He’s a big boy!”

Mark Hine: “You pay all that money for Buddy Franklin and you put him at full-back, yeah, genius!”

Dayne Zorko: “Yeah, he might be able to kick it to halfway for us, though. Who knows.”
