Lisa Marie Presley has died following a suspected cardiac arrest.

The 54-year-old daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley was rushed to hospital earlier today but couldn’t be saved.

Lisa Marie was just 9 years old when her father died.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford told 4BC Summer Drive he’d recently spoken with Priscilla Presley for a one-on-one interview and got some insight into her relationship with Lisa Marie.

“To my surprise and delight, there was no no-go zones that were given to me at all, until about five minutes before I was doing the interview,” he said.

“Her PA came to me, very politely, and said, ‘Priscilla would request if it’s possible, if you don’t ask about the death of her grandson … and also about Lisa Marie’.

“At the end of it, when the cameras stopped rolling, [Priscilla] said, ‘Thank you for respecting that, … because I can’t be seen to fall apart on camera; Lisa Marie has to know I’m the strong one’.

“The death of Lisa Marie’s son was clearly just one of many things that indicated a very sort of troubled life.”
