It has been revealed today that the Logan City Council has been moving homeless people to West End’s Musgrave Park.

According to the Courier Mail, Logan City Council park rangers have ‘secretly’ moved homeless people via an unmarked ute to the Brisbane park.

This follows the Lord Mayor’s announcement last week on Brisbane Live with Neil Breen that the council will not be evicting the homeless community from Musgrave Park ahead of the iconic Paniyiri Greek Festival.

The Lord Mayor confirmed that the festival will still go ahead despite Musgrave Park resembling a “mini tent city” with a growing homeless community.

Neil Breen said its “disgraceful” that Logan City Council have been redirecting homeless people from Logan to the park.

“You do not treat homeless people like dogs and dump them on a neighbour’s property, you deal with the problem yourself”, Neil Breen said.
