Long-awaited Indooroopilly roundabout removal begins to take shape
Works to replace the infamous Indooroopilly roundabout are beginning to take shape.
Construction has begun on an overpass to clear up one of the city’s worst peak-hour bottlenecks along Moggill Road and Coonan Street.
While the finish time has been delayed as a result of the pandemic and last year’s catastrophic flooding, the Brisbane City Council is confident cars will be on the corridor by the end of the year.
The Lord Mayor was this morning flanked by Georgiou general manager Sean Donald and two other councillors as he inspected the progress.
The $180 million upgrade will also include shared pedestrian and cycle paths for increased safety.
