Major police incident unfolding on remote QLD property

A major police incident is unfolding in the Western Downs region, with reports of a shooting on a property in Wains Road at Wieambilla.
There are early reports that multiple police officers are unaccounted for and one reportedly injured.
It’s understood police were called to the remote property with reports of a missing person.
The town is located west of Brisbane with a population of around 100 people, who are still being advised to avoid the area on Wains Road, while more units respond.
Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) closing a significant area nearby and urging residents to stay inside.
Wains Road is closed, and the declaration zone includes the area from Chinchilla Tara Road, Wieambilla Road, Bennetts School Road, and Mary Street.
