Brazen daylight ambush of bikie associate ‘highly motivated’
A bikie associate has been killed in a “disturbing and brazen” ambush after being dragged out of his car and stabbed in Mansfield yesterday.
A 23-year-old man pulled into a gym carpark where police allege he was the victim of an assault by a group of men, who pulled him from his car.
He was stabbed multiple times in the torso by one of four men before three got back in a Nissan Patrol and left.
The remaining man fled on foot and was later hunted down by the dog squad. He’s now assisting police with inquiries.
9News reporter Jess Millward told Laurel, Gary & Mark the incident is believed to be gang-related.
“Police say whoever attacked this man, well, they were highly motivated,” she said.
It’s understood the victim was known to the Comancheros but was not a patched member.
He was one of two men stabbed a year ago on the Gold Coast during a fight involving outlaw motorcycle gang associates.
