Mark Levy furious over ‘unbelievable’ Paul Pisasale decision
Mark Levy is in disbelief over the decision of five councillors restoring disgraced former mayor Paul Pisasale’s name to city assets.
Nicole Jonic and Pisasale’s former deputy Paul Tully had a major part in voting to keep Pisasale Drive in Yamanto and Paul Pisasale Bridge in Springfield named as is.
This comes after Pisasale was sentenced to 7.5 years behind bars in 2020 for more than 30 serious crimes, including official corruption, extortion and sexual assault.
Mr Tully argued social media comments showed there was a lot of support to keep the bridge and street as they are.
Ms Jonic stated in an interview with 4BC host Peter Fegan last Friday: “Why should we erase prior historic unethical behaviour with unethical behaviour?”
Mark “can’t believe” the thought process of the two councillors.
“I’m sorry Ipswich but you’re doomed,” Mark said.
“Who in their right mind would support a low bastard like Paul Pisale!?”
