Mask mandate to end as Queensland nears vaccination milestone
The state’s mask mandate could be lifted as soon as today with Queensland set to pass a vaccination milestone.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has confirmed the rule will be lifted once 80 per cent of the eligible population has had their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

As of yesterday, 79.5 per cent of Queenslanders had received their first vaccine, while 67.1 per cent are fully vaccinated.
