Teen diver Charli Petrov has gushed about her veteran diving partner, Melissa Wu, after the pair claimed gold at the Commonwealth Games. 

The pair staved off tough competition in the synchronised dive to claim a total score of 306.00, edging out their nearest competitors by 7.14 points.

With Wu competing in her fifth Commonwealth Games, she claimed a mentor role when training with her junior partner.

“Working with Mel has been an experience in itself,” Petrov told Laurel, Gary & Mark.

“She has just been so amazing. Working with Mel has been so easy, it’s not challenging and we work together really well.

“It’s been really good!”
