Maximum security prison plans stolen by inmate
Plans for offices in a new maximum security wing at the Parklea Correctional Centre have been stolen and smuggled out of the jail by an inmate.
As revealed by News Corp’s Janet Fife-Yeomans & Danielle Gusmaroli, the documents were seized at Silverwater jail last week.
It follows months of serious mismanagement and allegations of corruption at the prison, exposed by Ray Hadley.
The state government has ordered a full parliamentary inquiry into the jail, run privately by the GEO Group.
