McGrath Foundation celebrates 10th anniversary of the Pink Test
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Magellan Pink Test which continually supports families with breast cancer.
17,000 Australians are diagnosed with breast cancer every year, and tomorrow is Jane McGrath day, who passed away from breast cancer in 2008.
Since 2005, the McGrath Foundation has supported more than 60,000 families, and this year, the foundation has set its most ambitious target ever; to raise $1.3 million to fund 10 breast care nurses for a full year.
To talk more about this worthy cause is former Australian cricketer, husband of the late Jane McGrath and president of the foundation, Glenn McGrath.
“The Sydney Test and the SCG, to have something like this and partnering up with them, it’s just incredible.
“When you see big burly blokes come to the cricket proudly wearing pink you know something been created.
“Cricket has been my life for a long time, and now to see it give back, and I can give back, is amazing.”
