Ray Hadley has been sent a very thoughtful thank you note after helping promote a charity day.

Sean Lloyd from the Miles Golf Club, in Queensland’s Central West, helped put on a golf day, raising money for Beyond Blue.

After Ray gave it a plug on-air, the club received prize donations from as far away as Brisbane.

Good morning Ray,

I would like to thank you for your support of the Miles Golf Club Charity Golf Day supporting mental health in rural and drought-stricken communities through Beyond Blue, which was held this past Saturday. We received donations of prizes from Brisbane based on hearing your promotion of the day, and for that I will be forever grateful for your support.

We set ourselves a goal of $2000, which we came up a couple of hundred short of. But all in all, it was a huge effort from the small volunteer group of club members and community members that lent a hand.

And of course, none of this would be even possible without the support of the local community and our generous sponsors who never cease to amaze us when it comes to helping out our small club.

Below is a picture of the motley crew that turned out to play golf.
