Molly Meldrum has denied intentionally dropping his pants onstage at Sir Elton John’s farewell show.

Video of the incident appeared to show Meldrum laughing, with his pants dropped to his knees, giving the crowd a view of his bare backside.

The incident was projected onto screens on either side of the stage before they cut to black and played pre-recorded graphics.

“Molly arrived in a wheelchair and then miraculously, somehow rose up to his feet, and then slithered his way up onto the stage,” entertainment reporter Peter Ford told 4BC Breakfast.

“Elton had no idea this was happening. And then it looked like Molly undid his belt and dropped his dacks and showed everything.

“Elton, to his credit, I don’t know if it was coincidental, burst into a version of The Bitch is Back.”

We’ve included video of the incident below, but be warned: as Peter Ford told Laurel, Gary & Mark, “Once seen, it cannot be unseen”!
