The Blue Mountains Council asbestos scandal continues to worsen.

A council-owned preschool and recycling depot have been hit with more asbestos notices by Safe Work NSW.

The Katoomba/Leura Preschool on Lett St has been issued with two improvement notices after fragments of asbestos fibro was found in the backyard of the property.

The school hasn’t been shutdown but a 12 metre exclusion zone has been set up.

Two notices have also been issued at the Springwood Recycling Depot after inspectors found damaged asbestos material.

Ray Hadley’s ongoing campaign for the council’s senior staff to be sacked has revealed extreme mismanagement.

The latest revelations come as no surprise.

“You’d think they’d clean up their act in light of what I’m highlighting, but no!”
