With a third La Niña weather event officially underway, Neil Breen says now is not the time for political bickering as the state readies for extremely wet weather.

The entire coast of Australia could cop higher than average rainfall, with the potential for flooding.

Neil said he has grave concerns that south-east Queensland isn’t ready.

He said the state government is “too combative” rather than collaborative with other agencies, including Brisbane City Council.

“Now what I want to say to the politicians of this state is that now is not the time to mark territory, it’s the time to collaborate.”
