Neil Breen says the Queensland government is “extremely concerned” on the issue of youth crime ahead of next year’s election.

He says Deputy Premier Steven Miles’ swipe at a magistrate on the weekend for releasing 13 young offenders in Townsville proves the government is “hurting”.

“The state government are at fault here for not having enough youth prison beds, there’s only about 300 in the state, it’s nowhere near enough.”
