Neil Breen: Where Labor’s gone wrong with the Voice to Parliament
The Liberal Party has set up a showdown with the federal government, confirming it will oppose an Indigenous Voice to Parliament.
Opposition leader Peter Dutton has confirmed he will actively campaign against the Voice ahead of the referendum later this year.
It’s set to post the vote’s biggest hurdle yet, with no referendum having ever succeeded in Australia without bipartisan support.
Neil Breen said he’s doubtful the Voice to Parliament will get over the line because “he’s trying to row his boat against the tide of history”.
