Neil Breen has handed out an ‘un-Australian’ award to two local councils.

He says rangers from Moreton Bay Regional Council have been booking cars parked illegally or on the footpath at Spinnaker boat ramp.

He says it’s “chockers” today with Queenslanders making the most of the nice weather.

“My point was … why didn’t you and some officers there before the chaos happened, and help people manage the parking situation?”

But he was also alerted by a listener to the fact that local swimming pools were closed today within Logan City Council.
