Last minute flight cancellations and changes are continuing to cause chaos and frustration for travellers in the lead-up to Christmas.

Gold Coast business owner Rob Green and his wife Christine were due to fly from Canberra to the Gold Coast to return home.

Jetstar initially delayed the flight before it was cancelled and they were offered a new flight, four days later.

Rob said it was a nightmare.

“All of a sudden it’s cancelled and there’s absolutely no offer of help,” he told Jason Dasey filling in on Brisbane Live.

“We had to get back, my wife had a very urgent appointment with a specialist for an operation she is having in January.

“We had to book a Virgin flight, and we could only get a business class flight, they were the only two seats available.”
