‘No one’s buying it’: Qld’s integrity review under fire from the Opposition again

Article image for ‘No one’s buying it’: Qld’s integrity review under fire from the Opposition again

The Queensland Opposition Leader is confident integrity issues in the Palaszczuk government aren’t going unnoticed by voters.

Director-General of the Department of the Premier and Cabinet Rachel Hunter has told public service staff to submit their CVs to be considered to assist Professor Peter Coaldrake as he investigates the government’s culture of accountability.

As 4BC Breakfast presenter Neil Breen earlier pointed out, it means public service staff would be hired to help investigate the Public Service Commission, rather than independent parties.

David Crisafulli told Ray Hadley “people are awake to what’s going on”.

“You couldn’t make this stuff up if you tried,” he said. “No one’s buying it.”

Ray Hadley was aghast at the revelation.

“It’s a rort; the whole thing is a rort!”
