Novak Djokovic’s visa to enter Australia has been cancelled by the federal government.
It came after he was held at Melbourne Airport after arriving in Australia late last night.
The Age reports a member of Djokovic’s team applied for a sub-class of visa that does not apply to people who have received medical exemptions from the COVID-19 vaccine.
The granting of a medical exemption for the unvaccinated tennis star to attend the Australian Open was met with outrage by the Australian public.
