NRL delays two-match suspension for Taylan May
Peter Psaltis says it doesn’t sit well with him that the NRL is “picking and choosing” when players will serve their suspensions heading into the finals series.
It comes after the league issued Penrith Panthers player Taylan May a breach notice, alleging he breached the NRL code of conduct following an incident in Maroochydore in October last year.
He was found guilty of assault.
The breach notice proposes a two-match suspension “to be served at 2023 NRL premiership”.
The 21-year-old be permitted to play in the 2022 finals series, including Friday night’s qualifying final.
“If he’s suspended, he’s suspended now,” the Wide World of Sports host said.
