Paul Vautin and Peter Psaltis have weighed up the benefits of NRL clubs playing at home as the finals seasons kicks off.

On Saturday night, Cronulla will take on North Queensland at Shark Park, with a capacity for 12,000 fans.

“It’s a big, big semi-final,” Vautin said.

“Especially for the Sharks, they would have had 30,000 at Allianz [Stadium] or Homebush, maybe even 40,000.

“And they are playing it at Shark Park, with 12,000?”

On Friday night, Penrith will take on Parramatta at Panthers Stadium, with a capacity of around 22,000.
