NSW Government pledges $1 billion to rebuild fire-ravaged communities
The NSW Government has announced $1 billion to help rebuild communities devastated by bushfires.
More than 1,500 homes have been destroyed around the state this season.
The money will go towards repairing and rebuilding infrastructure ravaged by the fires.
NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet tells Luke Grant they’ve estimated $300 million in damages have occurred to date.
“We’re talking major roads, schools, communication towers, rail, any of those public assets.
“We want to make sure these economies continue to get back on track quickly.”
