What you can expect from Brisbane’s fireworks displays!
New Year’s Eve fireworks will light up Brisbane’s skies tomorrow night.
The Southbank Parklands will host the spectacular displays at 8.30pm and another at 12am.
The theme for this year’s display is ‘Celebrate the bloom of Brisbane’.
The team in charge of making sure it goes off with a bang is Skylighter Productions.
Production manager Dale Norris said it’s been 5-6 months in the planning.
“It’s pretty much Christmas eve for us!” he told Greg Cary.
He said there’ll be rainbow comets, rainbow tails and a special jacaranda tribute!

Weather guru Justin Noonan says the rain should clear in time.
“I don’t think you will need a brolly,” he advised Peter Fegan!
“There will still be a few coastal showers, the good news is they should become a little bit more isolated as we move into tomorrow night.
“There is going to be the lingering threat of a shower or two, so if you want to take a poncho or a brolly, feel free to just in case, but even if you do get one, it will be pretty light.”
