Opposition renews call for resilience funding for local governments
Opposition Leader David Crisafulli is urging the Premier to visit the flood-ravaged north west of the state.
The scale of the devastation in towns is being revealed as floodwaters recede.
Residents affected by the floods have received emergency hardship payments of $180 per person, but many evacuees feel like they are living in limbo as they wait to return home.
Mr. Crisafulli, who recently visited the region, has told Bill McDonald “It was real and it was raw,”
“I’ve been into a lot of disaster areas, and its amongst the worst I’ve seen.” he said.
