‘Patience is key’: Dolphins working hard behind the scenes to secure inaugural team
It may still be a full season away before the Dolphins play their first NRL game but today they have announced their first key signing.
Two NRL premiership player Felise Kaufusi has signed a three-year deal to join the newest club from 2023.
Chief executive of the Dolphins, Terry Reader, said they were still having some great discussions with top players.
“We are very comfortable [with] where we are at, and today is an historic day for the club, signing our first ever player for the Dolphins NRL team,” he told Scott Emerson.
“And what better player to get someone who is an Origin player, international, he’s won two premierships, more importantly he’s a Queenslander .. a Bundy boy fitting right into our corridor here from the north of Brisbane right up to Rocky.”
He said “patience was key” and there was a lot going on in the background.
