Peter Brock inspired iconic Australian artist to follow his dreams
Australian artist Ken Done has revealed he was inspired to pursue a career in art after a chance meeting with race-car driver Peter Brock.
Ken had worked in the advertising industry for many years when he met Peter Brock whilst on holiday at the age of 35.
After a life-changing conversation with the racing legend, Ken ended up quitting his advertising job to pursue his long put-off dream of being an artist.
“He was talking to me about how passionate he was about racing car driving. And I realised I was good at advertising, but I wasn’t passionate about it.
“So we flew home, I went to work Monday morning, I went up to the chairman’s office and I resigned.”
