Peter Dutton calls Kristina Keneally his second ‘Alan Bond’
Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton has hit out at his Labor counterpart Kristina Keneally, describing her as the gift that keeps on giving.
Mr Dutton has repeatedly criticised the Shadow Home Affairs Minister for her position on border protection, accusing her of putting Australians at risk with her “dangerous” ideas.
But he tells Ray Hadley she’s doing him and the government a massive favour by putting the Australian public offside, comparing her to disgraced business tycoon Alan Bond and his relationship with Kerry Packer.
Peter Dutton: “They say if you’re lucky you get one Alan Bond in your lifetime, well I had Shayne Neumann before and he never asked a question in the parliament. But now I’ve got Kristina Keneally who can’t stop talking in the parliament.”
Ray Hadley: “So you think you’re luckier than Kerry Packer, are you?”
Peter Dutton: “I think if Kristina Keneally stays there people know that if Labor was to be elected… they would dismantle out border protection policies.”
