Peter Dutton blasts Kristina Keneally for her ‘dangerous’ position
Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton has ripped into Kristina Keneally for suggesting Australia should bring home the families of ISIS fighters.
The Shadow Home Affairs Minister argued Australia has a moral responsibility to the families, insisting they should be brought home before it’s too late.
But Mr Dutton tells Ben Fordham she should know just how risky that would be, having been briefed by his own department.
“We don’t want people coming back having the skills in bomb-making and terrorist activity to commit an atrocity in our country.
“It’s quite a dangerous position.
“I would think that most Australians would want us to try and keep terrorists as far away from our country as possible.
“In the end, my job is to protect Australian children and Australian women and families.”
