Peter Psaltis says there is a lot of work being done by various rugby league commentators behind the scenes, to pronounce the names of NRL players correctly.

In recent days, the Wide World of Sports host said there’s been talk about it online.

“There is not one commentator that I know of, I’ll include my colleagues at Nine, and those that work at Fox, and other radio stations as well, that does not take the pronunciation of players’ names seriously.

“Everyone does.”

He said it comes down to education, and it’s something he takes very seriously.

“I want you all to know how much work is done in this space, away from the games.”

Some clubs have released videos on how to pronounce players’ names correctly.
