Peter Psaltis: What the FFA must do to capitalise on the Socceroos’ World Cup success
Football Federation Australia must now look towards supporting the sport’s junior crop of players in the years ahead to piggyback off the Socceroos’ World Cup success, Peter Psaltis says.
The Wide World of Sports host says now is the time to change the approach.
He also has some advice for Football Federation Australia and how the sporting body must capitalise and “ride the wave of success” moving forward.
“The FFA receives $13 million of prize money and money allocations following the World Cup, ” he said.
“My advice? Spend it wisely.
“While the game is riding the wave of success following the World Cup, the sport in my opinion needs to change its approach particularly when it comes to juniors.”
