‘Please stop and pause’: Queenslanders urged to honour our soldiers on Remembrance Day
Australians are being asked to pause to reflect and honour those who died in battles this Remembrance Day.
Queensland veterans and their families are preparing to commemorate Remembrance Day together for the first time in almost two years.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, commemorations have been forced to limit numbers or stream services online due to restrictions.
Brisbane’s Remembrance Day service will be held at ANZAC Square from 10:30am.
Legacy Brisbane CEO Brendan Cox implored Queenslanders to pause for a minute’s silence at 11am.
“Today Breenie it’s really important it doesn’t matter where you are, in the workplace, in the vehicle, in a shopping centre, at 11am please stop and pause,” he told Neil Breen.
“Please remember the sacrifices of the generations that have served before us.”
