$100 million makeover to create Brisbane biggest parklands
One of Brisbane’s most polluted waterways is set to be transformed.
Lord Mayor, Graham Quirk released plans to overhaul the Oxley Creek corridor in a $100 million makeover taking 20 years.
The masterplan will see the 20 kilometre waterway between Tennyson and Larapinta reclaimed as both a sanctuary for wildlife and an ‘urban playground’.
Ben spoke with Oxley Creek Transformation Chairman, Nigel Chamier who hopes the project will be completed quicker than the 20 year timetable.
