13-year-old charged with attempted murder following wounding incident in Yamanto

Detectives have charged a teenage boy with attempted murder following an alleged stabbing in Yamanto late yesterday afternoon.

Nine news reporter, Andrea Crothers told Dean Miller on 4BC Summer Breakfast, “he’s due to appear in Ipswich children’s court [today January 14] after police charged him overnight.”

Queensland police responded to reports that a person had been stabbed at Yamanto Central Shopping Centre late in the afternoon on Monday.

The 63-year-old supermarket worker is now in hospital in a critical, but stable position.
