‘A game changer’: Queensland to include family and domestic violence in Child Safety reports

In Australia, two-in-five children are exposed to domestic and family violence.

As of this week, Queensland’s Child Safety reports will include domestic and family violence, and it will be represented by real-time data, which will be available to the minister.

Sofie Formica said on 4BC Afternoons, “I think this is going to be a game changer, and I think it will paint a grim picture, but hopefully shine a light on where that help is needed.”

“It is not a problem that is going to go away overnight. We know that in too many cases, it’s also intergenerational, and it needs to be now at a place where we find ourselves at a crossroads and we move forward doing things very differently,” Sofie continued.
