A super-sized avocado variety, expanding its reach.

Avocado farmers are being asked to consider a new variety, which can grow up to four-times the size of normal store-bought fruit.

The Jala variety is currently grown on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast but there are plans to expand its reach.

Rural editor Emily Minney caught up with Fleming’s Nursery Manager Jess Fleming to hear about the opportunities for growers interstate.
