Accelerating Macadamia growth to boost variety
A researcher at Queensland University of Technology has been granted $22,000 dollars to speed up macadamia growth.
The popular nut can take up to 10 years to flower, making it difficult for engineers to tackle challenges like disease and climate change.
Research fellow, Doctor Stephanie Kerr has been awarded this year’s Science and Innovation Award for Young People for her work in accelerating the process.
