‘Afraid of being held to account’: Ipswich Council to place media gag on Teresa Harding

Ipswich Council Mayor Teresa Harding will be gagged from speaking with the media or issuing press releases on major city issues in a vote championed by Paul Tully which is expected to be passed this week.

Peter Fegan ripped into Paul Tully and the Councillors backing this vote saying, “This council is afraid of the media and its afraid of being held to account.”

“It’s no surprise that now they want to gag the mayor and effectively ruin our democracy.
