ASIC sues HSBC over allegations of failing to protect customers from scams

Dean Miller

ASIC is taking banking giant HSBC Australia to the Federal Court over allegations of failure to protect its customers from scams.

ASIC Deputy Chair Sarah Court joined Dean Miller on 4BC Afternoons to discuss the allegations.

“Our real concern here is the failure at the front end to prevent and detect scams when it should’ve been and then after someone had become a victim to a scam it took far too long to investigate,” Ms Short said.
