Aussies focus on cost of living over end-of-financial year sales
Clinton Maynard is joined by Barry Urquhart, Managing Director of Marketing Focus, whose research shows Aussie consumers are not planning, budgeting for, or anticipating to buy-up with End-of-Financial Year sales.
Prime focus for potential customers currently is on cost-of-living, interest rates, inflation rates and price rises. Each is considered a significant and important deterrent for buying intentions.
Mr Urquhart says, ““It is evident that consumers are not being greatly tempted or influenced by big discounts, sales events and creative advertising. Overall, people appear to be more disciplined and financially prudent than usual.”
