After 17 years Brisbane Deputy Mayor Krista Adams has called time on her career as an elected public official. 

Deputy Mayor Krista Adams told Sofie Formica on 4BC Afternoons, “The only consideration I’ve made at the moment, is that I am not contesting in 2028.”

“I made the decision that the best for the team was to get them established with a leadership team that will lead through to 2028 and beyond, and have the joy of sitting on the backbench and be that supporter and peer mentor that I love to do,” Deputy Mayor Adams continued.
