Brisbane City Council begins early planned burns to tackle fire risk

The Brisbane City Council is starting early with planned burns this year, taking advantage of ideal conditions. 

Fire season in Queensland often begins in July and runs until October, but starting today, crews will burn 45 hectares at Kholo Bushland Reserve.

Bernard Trembath from Queensland Bushfire Planning joined Sofie Formica on 4BC Afternoons to discuss planned burns.
