Brisbane Council to drive school safety drop-off program

The Brisbane City Council is set to crackdown on school drop-off’s and pick-up’s with their ‘Safer Streets Program’.

Almost 100 schools have adopted the program which aims to ease congestion and boost safety.

Lord Mayor, Graham Quirk tells Ben how the program works saying it’s all about being ‘friendly, firm and fair’.

The Mayor also mentions recycling explaining Brisbane has a low contamination rate of 7 per cent which could be attributed to high recycling education.
