Calls for national laws to make adoption easier
A Federal Parliamentary committee has delivered a long awaited report into ways to improve adoptions in Australia.
Nationwide last year fewer than 250 Australian children were adopted while more than 47,000 children live in out-of-home care.
The report finds the biggest problem is having different laws in different states and Adopt Change CEO Renee Carter tells Mark nationally consistent laws are the key to addressing the problem.
