Calls to Fine Woolworths for “Free” Reusable Plastic Bags

The Council of Small Business Organisations of Australia is calling on the Palaszczuk Government to fine Woolworths for giving out their 15c Reusable Plastic Bags for Free.

The Supermarket Giant announced it won’t charge customers for them until July 8 after a flood of complaints during the transition stage after they phased out the lightweight Grey Bags.

From July 1, all retailers in Queensland face fines of $6,300 if they provide the old bags to customers.
